Understanding Your Transaction Detail Report

Section titled “Understanding Your Transaction Detail Report”

The Transaction Detail Report gives you a complete view of all payments and refunds for your event. Whether you’re reconciling accounts after a wedding, tracking Diwali party ticket sales, or auditing a corporate meetup, this report breaks down every transaction in an easy-to-read grid.

How to get there: Dashboard > Reports > Transaction Detail Report

Open in Velora{.velora-link}

  1. The report loads automatically when you open it
  2. You’ll see a summary card at the top showing total transactions, revenue, and refunds
  3. Below that is a sortable grid listing every transaction with columns like date, guest name, payment method, and amount

How to get there: Same screen, scroll to the Filters section

  1. Tap Date Range to narrow results to a specific period (e.g., last 7 days, last month)
  2. Select Event if you run multiple events and want to see transactions for just one
  3. Choose Payment Status to show only successful payments, pending, or refunded transactions
  4. Tap Apply to update the grid

The grid automatically updates—no page reload needed.

The grid shows one row per transaction. You can:

  • Tap a row to see the full transaction details (guest contact, payment ID, notes)
  • Scroll horizontally if you’ve enabled extra columns (like transaction ID or payment gateway)
  • Sort by any column by tapping the column header (most common: sort by date or amount)

How to get there: Same screen, tap Columns (gear icon in the controls section)

  1. A popup shows all available columns (Date, Guest Name, Amount, Status, etc.)
  2. Toggle each column on or off
  3. Tap outside the popup or Done to apply your choices

Your column preferences are saved and will appear the next time you open the report.

If your event has many transactions (weddings with 500+ guests often do), the grid shows results in pages:

  1. View current page info at the bottom: “Showing 1–50 of 247 transactions”
  2. Tap Next to load the next page of 50 transactions
  3. Tap Previous to go back
  4. Jump directly to a page by entering a page number

If you see an empty state, it means no transactions match your current filters:

  • Check your date range — are there transactions in that period?
  • Verify the event selection — did you pick the right event?
  • Review status filters — did you accidentally hide successful payments?

Tap Refresh to reload the data, or adjust your filters and try again.
