Discover and Browse Events and Communities

Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Role: Attendee / Guest. Community Members see the same browsing experience, plus the communities they already belong to.
- Sign-in: Not required to browse. You can look at public events and public communities as a guest. Signing in adds your tickets, your communities, and messaging, and it lets the app remember what you have looked at.
- Optional: Allow location access when the app asks. This is what makes “near me” results useful.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”-
Open the app and land on the home tabs. Home is organised into Communities, Events, and Tickets. If you are signed in, a Connect tab appears for messaging. The Events tab is where browsing starts, and the app asks once for location permission so it can order results by what is close to you. If your account is set up as an organiser, the app sends you to the organiser area instead of the attendee feed.

Browse the public events feed. The Events tab shows public events as cards with the cover image, date, and location. Scroll and more events load automatically; pull down to refresh. Use the search bar at the top to search by name, and the filter chips underneath to narrow the list. A toggle lets you switch between All events and Events you are interested in, which is a shortlist built from events you have already opened. If there is only one public event available and you have no search or filters applied, the app skips the list and opens that event directly. There is nothing to browse, so it takes you straight there.

Open an event to see the full picture. The event page has the cover, date and time, venue with a map, the organiser, the full description, the schedule or agenda, frequently asked questions, sponsors, and the photo gallery. Ticket options appear here too, with a persistent action bar at the bottom so the register or buy action is always reachable while you scroll. You can share the event from this page.

Browse communities. The Communities tab lists communities you can join or already belong to. Opening one shows its profile: name, logo and cover, description, location, and links to the community’s own pages or socials. If you are already a member, this is also where you can leave the community.

See what a community is running. From a community, open its events list to see just that community’s events, with its own search box and a count of how many events matched. Clearing the search brings the full list back.

See who else is there. The members list shows everyone in the community, one page at a time, with a search box for finding a specific person and a running total of members. Tap a person to view their profile card.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”My search or filters are hiding everything. Search and filters stack, so an empty result usually means they are fighting each other. Use Clear next to the result count, or clear the search box, and the full list returns. Note that a single result from a search is treated as a normal result: the app will not auto-open it, so you can always widen your search again.
Results are not near me. Location ordering only works if you granted location access. If you declined, or you are on the web where the browser asks separately, you will still see events but they will not be sorted by distance. Grant location access in your device settings for the app, then pull down to refresh the events list.
I do not see trending or popular events. Trending is driven by activity on each event, so quieter periods or a brand-new region will surface fewer of them. The full events list is always there underneath; search or filter directly for what you want.
The suggestions do not match my interests. The Events you are interested in view is built from events you have actually opened, so it starts empty and improves as you browse. Switch back to See all Events any time. Browsing while signed out still builds a local shortlist on that device, but it will not follow you to another phone.
An event page says it cannot be found. The event was removed, or the link has expired. Use Try Again first in case it was a connection blip, then Browse Events to go back to the feed.
I want to change a community’s details. Editing a community’s name, images, location, questions, or custom link is limited to its organisers. Members can view and leave, but not edit.
