Form Fill

Complete and submit form responses through the Velora Events form-fill screen. This page guides you through answering questions, saving your progress, and confirming your submission.

How to get there: Open the form link sent to you by the organizer.

The form displays one or more pages of questions, each in its own card. Every question shows:

  1. The question label — what the organizer is asking you
  2. A required indicator (*) — if the field must be answered
  3. An optional description — extra context or instructions
  4. An input field — where you enter your answer (text box, dropdown, date picker, rating, file upload, etc.)
  5. An error message — shown only if your answer doesn’t meet the rules (e.g., invalid email format)

The form adapts its input style to match the question type. Here are the most common:

Text fields (Short Text, Email, Phone, Long Text)

  1. Tap the input box
  2. Type or paste your answer using the keyboard

Phone numbers

  1. Tap the country-code selector (flag icon with + dial code) to pick your country
  2. Enter only the phone number digits (the + code is added automatically)

Dropdowns and Multiple Choice

  1. Tap the field to open the list
  2. Select your choice — or for searchable dropdowns, type to filter the options
  3. Tap your selection to confirm

Checkboxes and Radio Buttons

  1. Tap the option you want to select
  2. A checkmark appears — tap again to deselect (on checkbox-style fields)
  3. On radio-style fields, only one option can be selected at a time

Dates and Times

  1. Tap the calendar or clock icon
  2. Pick your date or time from the popup picker
  3. Confirm your selection

File Upload

  1. Tap Choose Files to open your device’s file browser
  2. Select one or more files (photos, PDFs, spreadsheets, etc.)
  3. Wait for the upload to complete before proceeding

Ratings (Stars, Hearts, Thumbs)

  1. Tap the icon you want (e.g., the 5th star for “excellent”)
  2. Your rating appears highlighted

The form auto-saves your answers as you type or make selections. A silent autosave fires when you:

  • Move to the next field (blur)
  • Tap a date/time picker, dropdown, or checkbox (commit)
  • Pick a file for upload

No save button is needed — your progress is stored automatically, even if you close and reopen the form later.

Multi-Page Forms: Navigating Between Pages

Section titled “Multi-Page Forms: Navigating Between Pages”

If the form has multiple pages:

  1. Answer the visible questions on the current page
  2. Tap Continue to move to the next page
  3. Tap Back to return to the previous page and review or edit your answers

The form validates each page before letting you proceed — if a required field is empty or invalid, you’ll see an error and can’t move forward until you fix it.

If the organizer enabled a review screen:

  1. Answer all questions and tap Review & Submit on the final page
  2. A Review your answers screen displays all your responses in a compact format
  3. Tap any answer card to edit it inline — changes save automatically when you tap Done
  4. Tap Confirm & Submit to finalize and send your response

How to get there: Complete all required fields and navigate to the final page.

  1. Verify all answers are correct (required fields show a red *)
  2. Tap Submit (or Confirm & Submit on a review screen)
  3. A loading spinner appears while your response uploads
  4. Once complete, you’ll see a Response Submitted! confirmation screen

If the form fails to submit (network error, validation issue):

  • A snackbar shows the error reason
  • Your answers remain in the form so you can retry
  • Offline saves are queued and sync when your connection returns

If the organizer allows re-submission:

  1. Open the form link again
  2. Tap Edit Previous Response (if shown)
  3. Your prior answers reload, ready to modify
  4. Make changes and tap Submit to save the new version

Some fields may show a lock icon and “Can’t be edited” — the organizer restricted changes to protect the original answer.

“This field is required” — You left a required field (marked with *) blank. Scroll up to find the field with the red error message and fill it in.

“Please check your answers” — A field contains an invalid format (e.g., an email without @, a phone number that’s too short). Look for the inline error under the field and correct it.

“You are offline” — Your internet connection dropped. Reconnect and try again — your answers are saved locally and will sync automatically.

“Couldn’t submit your response” — A network error occurred during final submit. Check your connection and tap Submit again; the form remembers all your answers.

“Select the previous field first” — A dependent dropdown is waiting for you to pick an option in an earlier field. Go back and select from the earlier dropdown.
