Register for an Event with Free Registration

Welcome to Velora’s free event registration! This screen lets you sign up for events that don’t require tickets. Whether it’s a Diwali celebration, corporate meetup, or college fest, you can register yourself and choose which activities you’d like to participate in.

About This Screen

Free registration is for events where organizers want to track attendance without selling tickets. You’ll provide your basic details and select which activities interest you.

Enter Your Personal Information

How to get there: Event invitation link > Registration Form

This is where the organizer learns who’s coming. You need to fill in two required fields:

1. Tap the Full Name field and enter your complete name (first and last name).

   • Minimum 2 characters required
   • Example: “Priya Maheshwari”

2. Tap the Phone Number country code button to select your country.

   • Default is India (+91)
   • The system validates phone numbers based on your selected country

3. Enter your 10-digit phone number in the Phone Number field.

   • Digits only - no spaces or dashes
   • For India, this is your standard mobile number

Quick Entry

If you’re already in India, you can skip the country code selection - it defaults to +91. Just tap the phone field and start typing your digits.

Choose Your Activities

How to get there: Registration Form (after personal info)

Most events have multiple activities or categories - like “Awards Ceremony,” “Networking Lunch,” or “Workshop.” You can select from the available options:

1. Tap the Select Category dropdown button.

   • A bottom sheet appears showing all available activities
   • Each shows how many people are already registered

2. Search for an activity by name using the search bar (optional).

   • Type to filter the list instantly

3. Tap the activity you want to join.

   • A checkmark appears to confirm your selection
   • If an activity is full, it’s disabled - you won’t be able to select it

4. (Optional) Some events have a special activity available - usually highlighted separately below the main dropdown.

   • Tap the checkbox to include this activity alongside your main selection
   • You can select both a regular activity AND a special activity

Activity Capacity

If you see “Activity Full” with a red badge, that activity has reached its limit. Check back later - cancellations sometimes open up spots. Or choose a different activity instead.

Next Best Action

Once you complete your registration:

• For updates: The organizer will send SMS or WhatsApp reminders to your registered phone number
• For changes: Contact the organizer directly - registrations can’t be edited through this form

Submit Your Registration

How to get there: At the bottom of the form, after all fields are complete

The Register Now button appears once you’ve filled all required fields:

1. Review your entered information - especially your phone number (you won’t be able to edit after submitting).

2. Tap Register Now to confirm.

   • A loading spinner appears while your registration is being saved
   • This takes 2-5 seconds depending on your internet connection

3. You’ll see a success screen with your registration details.

   • Screenshot this for your records
   • The organizer has your phone number and will contact you with event details

Before You Submit

Double-check your phone number - this is how the organizer will reach you with updates, timings, and venue details. You can’t change it after registration.

Troubleshooting

“Please select at least one activity”: You’ve filled your name and phone but haven’t chosen an activity from the dropdown. Tap Select Category and pick one.

“Enter a valid phone number”: Your phone number doesn’t match the rules for the selected country. For India (+91), it must be exactly 10 digits with no letters or special characters.

“Full name must be at least 2 characters”: Enter both your first and last name, or at least a first name with a middle initial.

“Activity is full”: That activity has reached capacity. Choose a different activity or contact the organizer to get on a waitlist.

Phone number shows error after changing country: The number you entered might not be valid for the newly selected country. Clear it and re-enter a valid number for that country.

“Invitation identifier not found”: You’re using an invalid event link. Ask the organizer to resend the correct invitation link.
