Send and receive private messages with your event team, vendors, and guests. Share files, locations, polls, and event details in real-time conversations.

How to get there: Connect > Select a contact’s name

  1. Open the Connect tab from the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap a contact’s name to open the conversation.
  3. Type your message in the text field at the bottom.
  4. Tap the Send button (arrow icon) to send.

You can send photos, videos, audio files, and documents - essential for sharing design proofs, menu samples, or guest photos.

  1. Tap the + (plus) button in the message input bar.
  2. Select your media type:
    • Gallery: Send photos from your phone
    • Camera: Take and send a photo instantly
    • Video: Share video clips
    • Audio: Send audio files or record a voice message
    • Document: Upload PDFs, spreadsheets, or Word files
  3. Choose your file or Record if using audio.
  4. Tap Send to share.

Send event info directly in a message. Great for inviting co-organizers or sharing venue details with vendors.

  1. Tap the + (plus) button in the message input bar.
  2. Tap Event from the menu.
  3. Select the event you want to share.
  4. Tap Send.

The recipient sees the event name, date, location, and cover image - they can tap it to view full details.

Ask your team yes/no questions or gather votes on decisions (like color schemes or menu options).

  1. Tap the + (plus) button in the message input bar.
  2. Tap Poll.
  3. Enter your question (e.g., “Red or gold decorations?”).
  4. Add answer options.
  5. Toggle “Multiple Choices” if you want people to pick more than one.
  6. Toggle “Anonymous” if you want responses without names.
  7. Tap Create Poll.

People can vote immediately, and you see live results.

Add emoji reactions to celebrate wins or show quick acknowledgment without typing a full reply.

  1. Long-press any message you want to react to.
  2. Tap the emoji icon to open the emoji picker.
  3. Select your emoji (👍, ❤️, 😂, etc.).

The emoji appears as a small badge under the message. Tap it again to remove your reaction.

Change your message if you made a typo, or delete it if you sent it by accident.

  1. Long-press the message you sent.
  2. Tap Edit to change it, or Delete to remove it.
  3. If editing, update the text and tap Save.

Mark messages you want to refer back to later (like a vendor’s quote or a deadline reminder).

  1. Long-press any message.
  2. Tap the star icon.

Starred messages are saved for quick reference - find them in your starred list.

Mute notifications, block a contact, archive the chat, or clear all messages.

  1. Tap the three dots (⋮) menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Select an option:
    • Mute Conversation: Stop getting notifications without deleting the chat
    • Add to Favourites: Pin important contacts to the top
    • Archive: Hide the conversation (it reappears if a new message arrives)
    • Clear Chat: Delete all messages (cannot be undone)
    • Block User: Stop receiving messages from this person
    • Delete Chat: Remove the conversation permanently
    • Report: Flag inappropriate behavior

When someone is typing, you’ll see a notification like “Priya is typing…” at the bottom of the screen. This gives you a heads-up that a reply is coming.

Nothing to do here - it’s automatic. Just know that when you start typing, the other person sees the same indicator.
