Form Analytics

Velora’s Form Analytics page gives you a bird’s-eye view of how your form is performing. Track how many people view, start, and complete your form, monitor completion rates, and identify trends over time.

How to get there: Dashboard > Forms > select a form > Analytics, or from the form card menu > View Analytics

The page title shows “Analytics — [Your Form Title]” so you always know which form you’re looking at.

The top section displays four key metric cards in a 2x2 grid:

MetricIconWhat it measures
Total ViewsEye iconHow many times the form link was opened
Total StartsPlay iconHow many people began filling in the form
Total SubmissionsCheckmark iconHow many people completed and submitted the form
Completion RateTrend iconPercentage of people who submitted after starting (Submissions / Starts)

Each card is colour-coded for quick scanning:

  • Views — blue
  • Starts — orange
  • Submissions — green
  • Completion Rate — purple

Below the main cards, additional metrics appear when data is available:

MetricWhat it shows
Start RatePercentage of viewers who started the form (Starts / Views)
Avg. Completion TimeHow long it takes on average to complete the form, in minutes

These metrics are displayed in rows with icons and values, making it easy to scan.

The Trends section shows a chart visualising form activity over time. The chart plots:

  • Views per day
  • Starts per day
  • Submissions per day

This helps you spot patterns — for example, a spike in views after sending out invitations, or a gradual tapering as your registration deadline approaches.

Below the chart, a Daily Breakdown lists each day’s metrics individually:

For each day, you see:

  • Date (formatted as “Mon DD, YYYY”)
  • Activity summary: “X views, Y starts, Z submissions”
  • Completion rate badge — colour-coded:
    • Green (70%+) — healthy
    • Orange (40-69%) — needs attention
    • Red (below 40%) — investigate

Tap the Refresh button (circular arrow icon) in the top right corner to reload analytics data. This is useful if you’ve just sent out invitations and want to see the latest numbers.

You can also pull down to refresh on the entire page.

If your form is new and hasn’t received any interactions yet, the analytics page shows a friendly empty state:

  • An analytics icon
  • “No analytics data yet”
  • “Analytics will appear once users interact with your form”

This is normal for newly published forms. Share the form link and check back.

If analytics fail to load (e.g. due to a network error), you’ll see:

  • An error icon
  • “Error loading analytics” with the error details
  • A Retry button to try again

Tap Retry to reload. If the error persists, check your internet connection or try again later.

Analytics show zero even though people have submitted

Section titled “Analytics show zero even though people have submitted”

Analytics data may take a few minutes to process. Tap Refresh to reload. If the problem persists, check that the form status is Published — draft forms don’t collect analytics.

Charts require at least two days of data to render meaningful trends. If all submissions happened on a single day, the Daily Breakdown section will show the data instead.

Completion rate is calculated as Submissions / Starts. If someone starts the form multiple times before submitting, each start counts. This can make the rate appear lower than expected. Look at absolute numbers (Total Submissions) for a clearer picture.

Large forms with thousands of responses may take a few seconds to calculate analytics. Wait for the loading indicator to finish. If it times out, try again — the server may be under heavy load during peak event registration periods.
