Invitation Viewer

The Invitation Viewer is what your guests see when they open their personalised invitation link. It presents your event media in an elegant, interactive format organised by day.

Guests reach this screen when they:

  1. Tap the personalised invitation link you shared via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
  2. The link opens in the Velora app (if installed) or in a web browser.
  3. The Invitation Viewer loads with the event name, media cards, and schedule.

The top of the screen displays the event title in bold — for example, “INVITATION TO THE EVENT”. This is derived from the invitation title you set during creation.

Invitations are organised into day-based categories. Each card shows:

ElementDescription
TitleThe activity or function name (e.g., “Sangeet Night”, “Wedding Ceremony”)
MediaA video or image that auto-plays or displays inline
DescriptionDate, time, and venue for that specific function
Day LabelGroups cards under “Day 1”, “Day 2”, etc.
  • Video cards play inline with controls for pause, seek, and fullscreen
  • Image cards display high-resolution photos with pinch-to-zoom

Guests scroll vertically to browse all activities. Cards for the same day appear together under a shared day label.

Video invitations play smoothly within the card. Guests can:

  • Tap to play or pause
  • Scrub through the timeline
  • Expand to fullscreen for a cinematic experience

Guests can tap Add to Calendar to hand the event over to the calendar app on their phone.

The screen includes full accessibility labels, making it usable with screen readers for visually impaired guests.

  • Keep videos short — 30 to 60 seconds per function is ideal. Guests watching on mobile data appreciate concise content.
  • Use high-quality images — The viewer displays media prominently, so low-resolution images will look pixelated.
  • Add clear descriptions — Include the exact date, time, and venue in each card’s description so guests do not have to scroll back and forth.
  • Test before sharing — Open your own invitation link on a phone to verify the layout and media playback.
  • Put the date in the card — Guests cannot reply from the viewer and the calendar shortcut saves the wrong date, so write the exact date, time, and venue into each card’s description and collect replies through your usual channel.

The video is not playing on my guest’s phone. Some older devices have limited video codec support. Ensure your video is in MP4 format with H.264 encoding. If the issue persists, convert the video using a free tool like HandBrake before uploading.

The invitation link shows a blank page. The invitation may have expired. Check the Invitation End Date in your invitation settings and extend it if needed.

Images look blurry on the invitation. Upload images with a minimum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Avoid screenshots of invitation designs — use the original high-resolution file instead.
