Showdown Feed

The showdown feed is where your audience watches every video entry in the current round and votes for their favourites. Anyone can browse and play the videos, and a quick sign-in is all it takes to cast a vote.

How to get there: Open the showdown link shared by the organiser, or go to Dashboard > Showdown Feed.

  1. Scroll the feed to move through the entries, newest arrangement first.
  2. Tap any video card to play it, and tap again to pause.
  3. Check the stats strip at the top for the total number of entries and votes in the round.
  4. Pull down on the feed, or tap the refresh icon in the top-right corner, to load new entries and updated vote counts.

How to get there: Dashboard > Showdown Feed

  1. Find the entry you want to back.
  2. Tap Vote on that card.
  3. If you’re not signed in yet, tap Sign in in the sheet that appears, then enter your mobile number (for example +91 98765 43210) and the code sent to you.
  4. Wait a moment after signing in. You come straight back to the feed and your vote is submitted for you.
  5. Look for the burst of hearts and the confirmation message: that’s your vote counted.

When someone opens a link to a specific entry, that entry appears as a glowing highlight card at the very top of the feed, above everything else. The rest of the entries continue below it as usual.

  1. Open the entry you want to promote.
  2. Use your device’s share option to send the link on WhatsApp, Instagram, or SMS.
  3. Ask supporters to tap Vote on the highlighted card at the top.

If the highlighted entry has been withdrawn or removed from the round, a short notice appears at the top of the feed and the normal list is shown instead.

“Couldn’t load the feed” - Usually a weak connection. Tap Retry, or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and refresh. Venue Wi-Fi during a live event is a common culprit.

“No entries yet” - The round is open but nothing has been submitted, or submissions are still processing. Refresh in a few minutes.

“Couldn’t record your vote” - The vote didn’t reach the server. The message appears just under the card you tapped. Check your connection and tap Vote again.

Vote button does nothing - You’ve already voted for that entry, or another vote is still being submitted. Wait for the first one to finish, then try the next card.

You signed in but no vote appeared - Your vote submits automatically once per return trip from sign-in. If nothing happened, tap Vote on the card again now that you’re signed in.

Vote counts look stale - The feed doesn’t refresh by itself. Pull down or tap the refresh icon to pull the latest totals.
