View Event Policies and Information

Read the terms, privacy, and refund policies that apply to your account and the events you attend, and record your agreement to them.

  • You need a Velora account and to be signed in. Any attendee or community member can view policies; no organizer rights are needed.
  • You need a working internet connection. Policies are fetched fresh from the server the first time you open them.
  • Some policies are hosted as external documents, so your device needs a browser available to open them.
  1. Open the Terms & Policies screen. You will usually land here automatically the first time you sign in, or after policies have been updated and need your agreement again. You can also reach it from your account settings. The screen lists every policy that applies to you, typically Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation & Refund Policy. If you are using the events app, the list is scoped to Velora Events; in the main app it covers Velora as a whole.

  2. Open a policy to read it. Tapping a policy opens its full text. Short policies are displayed inside the app with headings and formatting so you can scroll through them. Longer or legally hosted policies open in your device’s browser instead; you will briefly see an “Opening…” message while the document loads, then you are returned to the policy list. Read as many of the listed policies as you want before deciding.

  3. Confirm you agree. Back on the Terms & Policies screen, tick the agreement checkbox. The Accept button stays inactive until you do. This is deliberate: agreement is only recorded when you tick the box yourself.

  4. Accept. Tap Accept. Your agreement is sent to the server and recorded against your account, covering each policy that was shown to you. You will see a “Policies accepted successfully” confirmation, and the app then continues to wherever you were heading, usually your home screen or event list.

  5. Re-read policies any time. Accepted policies stay available from your account settings. You can reopen and read any of them later without accepting again.

The policy is in a language I do not read. Policy text is shown exactly as the organizer or Velora published it, and the app does not translate it. If a policy opens in your browser, you can use your browser’s built-in translation to read it. For in-app text, copy the section you need into a translation tool, or contact the event organizer for a version in your language. Do not accept a policy you cannot read - ask first.

I was asked to accept policies again. This means at least one policy has been updated since you last agreed. Your previous acceptance applies to the older version only, so a fresh agreement is required. Reopen each policy before accepting; the content may have changed materially, particularly refund terms.

I am not sure whether my acceptance was recorded. Acceptance is only stored after you tap Accept and see the green success confirmation. If you closed the app mid-way, or you saw an error message instead, nothing was recorded and you will be prompted again next time you open the app. Reopening the Terms & Policies screen and completing the flow is safe: it simply updates the record.

“Error loading policies” appears. The policy list could not be fetched. Tap Retry. If it keeps failing, check your connection and try again in a few minutes.

“Failed to load policy” appears when opening a single policy. The document itself could not be retrieved. Go back, check your connection, and reopen it.

“Could not open” a policy link. The policy is hosted externally and your device could not open the link, usually because no browser is set as default or the link is unavailable. Try again later or ask the organizer for a copy.

The app asks me to confirm before leaving. Leaving the Terms & Policies screen without accepting means you have not agreed, and features that depend on acceptance stay unavailable. Confirm to exit, or stay and finish reading.

“No policy content available.” The policy exists but has no published text yet. Contact the organizer or Velora support before relying on it.
