Event Photo Albums on Velora
Section titled “Event Photo Albums on Velora”The Album List page shows all photo albums created for an event. Albums are displayed in a responsive grid with cover images, names, descriptions, visibility badges, and creation dates. Organizers can create new albums, and all users can browse and open albums to view their contents.
How to Get There

Page Layout
Section titled “Page Layout”- Header: “Photo Albums” title with a count badge showing the number of albums.
- Album Grid: Responsive grid that adjusts based on screen width:
- Mobile (under 600px): 2 columns
- Tablet (600-900px): 2 columns with adjusted aspect ratio
- Desktop (900-1200px): 3 columns
- Large desktop (1200-1500px): 4 columns
- Extra-large (1500px+): 5 columns
- Floating Action Button: ”+” button to create a new album (hidden for canceled events or restricted mode).
Browsing Albums
Section titled “Browsing Albums”- Open the Photo Albums page from the event organizer or event detail.
- Browse the grid of album cards.
- Each card shows:
- Cover image (or a placeholder if none is set).
- Album name overlaid at the bottom.
- Description (if provided) below the name.
- Visibility badge (top-left): Public (green), Protected (orange), or Private (red).
- Date badge (top-right): Shows when the album was created (Today, Yesterday, Xd ago, etc.).
- Tap any album card to open the Album Detail page.
Creating a New Album
Section titled “Creating a New Album”- Tap the + floating action button at the bottom-right corner.
- Fill in album details on the Create Album page (name, description, visibility, upload permissions).
- Save the album.
- You are returned to the Album List with a success message: “Album created successfully.”
- The album list refreshes automatically to show the new album.
Album Visibility
Section titled “Album Visibility”Each album has a visibility setting shown as a colored badge:

| Private | Red | Only the album creator and event organizers |
Empty State
Section titled “Empty State”When no albums have been created for the event, you see:
- A photo album icon.
- Message: “View, relive, and share your favorite event photos here.”
- Hint: “Tap + to create your first album.”
For canceled events, the empty state shows:
- “Event Cancelled”
- “Cannot create albums for cancelled events.”
- The FAB is hidden.
Refreshing Albums
Section titled “Refreshing Albums”Pull to refresh: Swipe down on the album grid to reload the latest albums from the server.
What to Do Next
Section titled “What to Do Next”| Your situation | Recommended action |

| No albums yet | Tap + to create your first album |
| Album created | Open it and start uploading photos |
| Want to restrict access | Set album visibility to Protected or Private |
| Allow guest uploads | Set upload permission to “Anyone” when creating the album |
| Event is over | Share album links with guests so they can download memories |

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting””Failed to load albums” error
Section titled “”Failed to load albums” error”Check your internet connection and tap Retry. The album list is fetched from the server and requires an active connection.
FAB (+ button) is not visible
Section titled “FAB (+ button) is not visible”The create button is hidden when:
- The event is in a “Canceled” state.
- You are in restricted mode (view-only access). Check the event status or your permissions.
Album cover image not loading
Section titled “Album cover image not loading”The image may still be processing on the server, or the URL may be temporarily unavailable. A broken image icon appears as a fallback. Try refreshing the page.
Date badge shows wrong time
Section titled “Date badge shows wrong time”The date badge calculates relative time (Today, Yesterday, Xd ago) based on your device clock. Ensure your device date and time are set correctly.
Grid layout shows too few or too many columns
Section titled “Grid layout shows too few or too many columns”The grid is responsive and adjusts to screen width. Resize your browser window or rotate your device to see the layout adjust. On very small screens (under 600px), you will always see 2 columns.
