Understanding the Loading Screen

The Loading Screen appears while Velora is preparing your event data. It displays an animated tagline that captures the essence of event planning: “plan BOLDLY. connect DEEPLY. share JOYFULLY.” This screen appears briefly during app startup or when major event operations are in progress.

What You’re Seeing

The animated text and progress bar indicate that the app is loading your events, checking for updates, or syncing your data. You don’t need to do anything - just wait for the animation to complete and you’ll be taken to your next destination (dashboard, event details, or guest management).

Why You See This Screen

The loading screen appears in a few common situations:

• App startup: When you first open Velora, the app loads your events and account data
• Navigation transitions: Moving between major sections (switching events, opening vendor lists, syncing guest data)
• Data refresh: When Velora is checking for updates from other organizers or pulling the latest guest confirmations

The animation typically lasts just 2–3 seconds. The progress bar at the bottom fills as the app completes its background tasks.

Pro Tip

If you see the loading screen frequently during regular use, ensure you have a stable internet connection. A weak connection can slow down data syncing and cause multiple loading screens.

What the Tagline Means

Each line of the tagline reflects a core principle of event planning:

What Happens After Loading

Once the animation and progress bar complete, you’ll be automatically redirected to:

• Your dashboard (if you just opened the app)
• Your event details (if you were switching events)
• Your guest list (if you were syncing invitations)
• Any other screen you were navigating to

You don’t need to tap anything or take action - the app handles the transition automatically.

Patience Required

Avoid closing or switching apps while the loading screen is active. Interrupting the load can cause sync errors or lose unsaved changes to your guest list or event details.

Customization Notes

The loading screen automatically adapts to your app’s theme:

• Dark mode: The text appears in light colors for clarity against the dark background
• Light mode: The text uses dark colors and Velora’s signature purple and blue accents
• Typography: The elegant serif and sans-serif fonts reflect the sophisticated nature of event planning

You cannot customize the loading screen text or disable it - it’s a built-in part of the app’s user experience.

If You’re Waiting Longer Than Expected

Loading screens should take 2–4 seconds. If yours is stuck for longer than 10 seconds, try:

1. Check your internet connection
2. Close and reopen the app
3. If the issue persists, contact Velora support

Long load times often indicate a connectivity issue rather than an app problem.
