Verifying Your Phone Number to Join an Event
Section titled “Verifying Your Phone Number to Join an Event”When you open an event invitation, Velora asks for your phone number so it can confirm it’s really you. This takes about thirty seconds and works for guests, participants, and anyone joining an event they’ve been invited to.
Entering Your Phone Number
Section titled “Entering Your Phone Number”How to get there: Open your event invitation link or scan the event QR code > Phone Number
- Tap the country flag on the left of the number box to see the country list.
- Search for your country by name or dialling code, then tap it. India (
+91), the United States, Canada, and the UAE are supported. - Tap the number box and enter your phone number, digits only.
- Leave out the country code and any spaces, dashes, or brackets: for an Indian number, just the 10 digits like
98765 43210. - Tap SEND CODE once the button lights up.
Once you tap SEND CODE, Velora sends a one-time code to that number and takes you straight to the code entry screen.
Choosing a Different Country
Section titled “Choosing a Different Country”How to get there: Phone Number > tap the country flag
- Tap the flag and dialling code chip to open Select Country.
- Type into Search country… to filter by country name or dialling code.
- Tap your country in the list. A tick marks your current choice.
Changing the country updates how many digits Velora expects, so any earlier error message clears automatically.

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“India phone number must be 10 digits.” - You’ve typed too few or too many digits. Enter only the number itself, without +91, a leading zero, or spaces.
The SEND CODE button won’t respond. - The button stays disabled until the digit count matches your selected country. Check that the flag shows the right country.
Your country isn’t in the list. - Only India, the United States, Canada, and the UAE are supported for event verification. Ask the organizer to add you manually if you’re on another network.
“Something went wrong. Please try again.” - Usually a patchy connection. Move to better signal or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then tap SEND CODE again.
You were signed in and now you’re not. - Verifying for an event starts a fresh session on purpose. Sign back in to your organizer account when you’re done.
Typed characters aren’t appearing. - The number box accepts digits only and stops at the maximum length for your country. Letters and symbols are ignored as you type.
