Committee List
Managing Event Committees
Section titled “Managing Event Committees”Committees help you organize your event team by function—catering, logistics, decor, entertainment—so everyone knows their role. Whether you’re planning a 500-person wedding, a Diwali corporate bash, or a college fest, committees keep your crew aligned and accountable.
View Your Committees
Section titled “View Your Committees”How to get there: Dashboard > Select your event > Committees
- Open your event from the dashboard.
- Tap the Committees tab or card.
- You’ll see all committees for this event listed with member counts and status.
Each committee card shows:
- Committee name and avatar with initials
- Number of members assigned
- Status (Active or Inactive)
- A chevron icon to view full details
Scroll down to see all committees. Pull down to refresh the list if you’ve made changes elsewhere.
Create a New Committee
Section titled “Create a New Committee”How to get there: Dashboard > Select your event > Committees > Tap + button
- Tap the floating + button at the bottom-right.
- Enter the Committee Name (e.g., “Catering Team”, “Decor Crew”).
- Choose the Visibility: Private (only leaders see), Public (all event members see), or Restricted (specific people only).
- Select a Category if applicable (e.g., Catering, Logistics, Entertainment).
- Add an optional Description to explain the committee’s role.
- Assign a Leader—the person responsible for this committee.
- Tap Create Committee.
View Committee Details
Section titled “View Committee Details”How to get there: Dashboard > Select your event > Committees > Tap a committee card

Tap any committee card to open the detail panel.

You’ll see:
- Committee name, description, and visibility level
- Status badge (Active/Inactive) and category tags
- List of all assigned members with their roles and profile pictures
- Leader badge on the member designated as leader

Tap Show all members if the list is long.

Tap Close to dismiss, or Edit Committee to make changes.
Edit a Committee
Section titled “Edit a Committee”How to get there: Dashboard > Select your event > Committees > Tap a committee > Edit Committee
- Update the committee Name, Visibility, Category, or Description.
- Change the Leader if needed.
- Add or remove members from this committee.
- Tap Save Changes.
Changes apply immediately to all event members who have access to this committee.
Delete a Committee
Section titled “Delete a Committee”How to get there: Dashboard > Select your event > Committees > Swipe left on a committee card or tap Committees > open committee > delete icon
Via Card Swipe
Section titled “Via Card Swipe”- Swipe left on a committee card.
- A delete icon appears on the right.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Via Detail Panel
Section titled “Via Detail Panel”- Open the committee detail panel.
- Tap the delete icon (trash can) in the top-right.
- Confirm the deletion in the popup.

| Committee lead left | Edit the committee and reassign the leader |
Common Issues
Section titled “Common Issues”“Cannot create new committee for cancelled events.” — Your event is marked as cancelled. Restore the event status to create new committees. You can still delete old ones if needed.
“Failed to load committee details” — This happens when the app loses connection to Velora. Check your internet and try again. Tap the Try Again button or refresh the page.
“Committee still shows after I deleted it” — The app may be cached. Pull down to refresh the committee list. If it persists, close and reopen the event.
“Can’t find the member I want to add” — The person must already be invited to your event. Add them to your event first, then assign them to committees.
