Verifying Your Phone Number to Join an Event

Section titled “Verifying Your Phone Number to Join an Event”

When you sign up to participate in a Velora event, we send a 6-digit code to your phone to confirm it is really you. This short article walks you through entering that code, getting a fresh one, and what happens next.

How to get there: Event link > Join / Participate > enter your phone number > Verification Code

  1. Check for the 6-digit code sent to your phone. It arrives on WhatsApp, so make sure you have a signal or Wi-Fi.
  2. Confirm the number shown under the Verification Code heading is yours. If it is wrong, tap the back arrow and re-enter it.
  3. Tap the row of six boxes to bring up the number pad.
  4. Enter the code. Each digit fills a box as you type.
  5. Wait a moment: the code submits on its own once all six digits are in.
  6. Tap VERIFY if you need to submit again after a failed attempt.

How to get there: Same screen, under the digit boxes

  1. Look at the Resend code link. It shows a countdown, such as Resend code (18s), while it is still locked.
  2. Wait for the countdown to reach zero. The link turns active and tappable.
  3. Tap Resend code.
  4. Watch for the confirmation: A new code has been sent.
  5. Enter the newest code. Older codes stop working once a fresh one is issued.

“Please enter the 6-digit code.” - Fewer than six digits were entered, or the entry included something other than numbers. Clear the boxes and type all six digits.

“We couldn’t verify that code. Please try again.” - The code was wrong, expired, or already used. Request a fresh one with Resend code and enter the newest message.

The code never arrives - Codes are delivered over WhatsApp. Confirm WhatsApp is installed and active on the number you entered, then check that you have not blocked business messages.

Resend code looks greyed out - There is a 30-second wait between requests. The countdown in the link tells you how long is left.

The number shown is not mine - Tap the back arrow to return to the phone entry step and re-enter it. Nothing is saved until a code is verified.

Nothing happens after the sixth digit - A spinner on VERIFY means it is working. Stay on the screen and keep your connection on until it moves you forward.
