Create an Invitation
Create an Invitation
Section titled “Create an Invitation”Velora lets you design beautiful digital invitations complete with images, videos, RSVP tracking, and personalized guest links. This guide walks you through every option on the Create Invitation screen so you can send polished invites in minutes.
Before You Begin
Section titled “Before You Begin”Make sure you have:
- An event already created on Velora (the invitation is linked to a specific event)
- Media files ready — images (JPG, PNG) or video (MP4) for the invitation card
- Your guest list prepared (names and phone numbers)
How to Get There
Section titled “How to Get There”Home > My Events > [Your Event] > Manage > Invitations > + (Create)
- Open the Velora app and navigate to your Event Dashboard.
- Tap Manage in the navigation menu.
- Select Invitations from the management options.
- Tap the + floating action button to start a new invitation.
Step 1 — Enter Invitation Details
Section titled “Step 1 — Enter Invitation Details”Give your invitation a clear, memorable title. This is what guests see at the top of their invitation card.
- Keep it concise — “Sharma Family Wedding Reception” works better than a long paragraph.
- The title is required and cannot be left blank.
Message
Section titled “Message”Write the main body of your invitation. Include:
- What the event is about
- Any dress code or special instructions
- Warm, personal language that matches your event’s tone
Notes (Optional)
Section titled “Notes (Optional)”Add private notes visible to guests. Useful for dietary instructions, parking details, or accommodation info.
Step 2 — Upload Media
Section titled “Step 2 — Upload Media”You can attach images and videos to make your invitation visually striking.
- Tap Upload Media to open the file picker.
- Select one or more files — supported formats include JPG, PNG, and MP4.
- Each file uploads in the background with a progress indicator.
- Reorder media items by dragging them into the desired sequence.
| Media Type | Best For | Max Size |
|---|---|---|
| Image | Wedding card designs, event posters, venue photos | 10 MB |
| Video | Animated invites, venue walkthroughs, personal video messages | 50 MB |
Step 3 — Configure RSVP
Section titled “Step 3 — Configure RSVP”Toggle Enable RSVP to let guests respond to your invitation.
RSVP Options
Section titled “RSVP Options”| Configuration | Options Shown to Guest |
|---|---|
| Default | Accept / Decline / Maybe (standard labels) |
| Two Option | Custom Accept and Decline labels |
| Three Option | Custom Accept, Decline, and Maybe labels |
You can customise the labels — for example, change “Accept” to “Haan Ji, Zaroor Aayenge!” for a personal touch.
RSVP Deadline
Section titled “RSVP Deadline”Set a date after which RSVP responses are no longer accepted. This helps you finalise catering, seating, and logistics on time.
Step 4 — Set a Custom Link
Section titled “Step 4 — Set a Custom Link”Create a memorable, shareable URL for your invitation.
- Type a custom alias in the Custom URL field (minimum 4 characters).
- Velora checks availability in real time — you will see a green tick if the alias is available.
- The final link looks like:
velora.events/i/your-custom-alias
Step 5 — Choose Activities
Section titled “Step 5 — Choose Activities”If your event has multiple activities (functions, sessions, or sub-events), you can link the invitation to specific ones.
- Expand the Activities section.
- Check the activities this invitation covers.
- Guests will see only the relevant activities on their invitation card.
This is especially useful for multi-day events like weddings where different guests are invited to different functions (Mehendi, Sangeet, Wedding, Reception).
Step 6 — Advanced Settings
Section titled “Step 6 — Advanced Settings”Occasion Type
Section titled “Occasion Type”Select the occasion category that best matches your event:
- Wedding
- Birthday
- Corporate
- Festival
- Other
The occasion type influences the invitation card style and presentation.
View Style
Section titled “View Style”Choose how the invitation is displayed to guests:
- Standard — Clean, modern card layout
- Flip — Interactive flip-card effect (ideal for birthday and wedding themes)
- Swipe — Swipeable multi-page invitation

Section titled “Guest Name Display”Configure how guest names appear on personalised invitations:
- Toggle individual name components: Salutation, First Name, Middle Salutation, Last Name, Last Name Salutation
- Drag to reorder the sequence
- Example: “Shri Rajesh Kumar Sharma” vs “Rajesh Sharma”
Location
Section titled “Location”Choose the location type:
- Event Location — Auto-filled from your event details
- Online — For virtual events
- To Be Announced — When venue is not yet confirmed
Contact Number (Optional)
Section titled “Contact Number (Optional)”Add a contact phone number (with country code, defaulting to +91) that guests can call for queries.
Enforce Unique Invitees
Section titled “Enforce Unique Invitees”When enabled, prevents the same guest from being invited through multiple invitations. This avoids duplicate entries in your guest tracking.
Invitation End Date
Section titled “Invitation End Date”Set an expiry date for the invitation link. After this date, the personalised link stops working.
Reminder
Section titled “Reminder”Schedule an automatic reminder to be sent to guests who have not responded.

Someone else has already claimed that alias. Try adding your event year or city — e.g., sharma-wedding-jaipur-2026.
I cannot see my event activities in the Activities section. Activities must be created in your event setup before they appear here. Go to Event Dashboard > Activities to add sub-events first.
RSVP options are not showing for guests. Make sure the Enable RSVP toggle is turned on and you have configured at least the Accept and Decline labels.
The invitation link has expired but my event has not happened yet. Edit the invitation and extend the Invitation End Date to a date after your event.
