Register for a Blood Donation Drive

Register as a blood donor for your event’s donation drive. This screen lets you provide your details, blood group, and contact information so organizers can coordinate with you.

Prerequisites

You need an active blood donation event set up by the organizer. You’ll receive this registration link or access it through the event details.

Register Your Blood Donation Details

How to get there: Open your event invitation > Blood Donation Registration

Blood donation drives are critical for your community - hospitals, accident victims, and surgical patients depend on donors like you. This registration takes less than 2 minutes.

Step 1: Enter Your Full Name

1. Tap the Full Name field
2. Enter your complete name (at least 2 characters)
3. Use your legal name as it appears on your ID

Tip

If you go by a single name (like “Akshita”), that’s fine - just enter what you’re known by. The system handles it automatically.

Step 2: Provide Your Mobile Number

1. Tap the country code selector (showing +91 for India by default)
2. Choose your country from the list if different
3. Tap the Mobile Number field
4. Enter your 10-digit phone number (for India)

Tip

Make sure your phone number is current - organizers will contact you to confirm donation date, time, and location using this number.

Step 3: Select Your Blood Group

1. Tap the Blood Group dropdown
2. Choose your blood type from the list: A+, A−, B+, B−, AB+, AB−, O+, O−
3. If you’re unsure, check your Aadhar, passport, or medical records

Caution

Blood group selection is mandatory. If you don’t know your type, get tested before registering - blood banks use this to match donors with recipients.

Step 4: Add Any Medical Notes (Optional)

1. Tap the Notes field
2. Mention any relevant medical history: medications you’re taking, allergies, recent travel, or health conditions
3. Keep it brief but clear

Tip

Examples: “On blood pressure medication”, “Recently recovered from malaria”, “Vegetarian - may need iron-rich food after donation”. This helps organizers prepare better.

Step 5: Set a Reminder (Optional)

1. Tap the Remind me about the event checkbox
2. The organizer will send you SMS or push notifications before the donation drive

Tip

Enable this if you tend to forget event dates. You’ll get a heads-up so you can plan your day around the donation appointment.

Step 6: Confirm Your Registration

1. Review all your information
2. Tap Confirm Registration
3. Wait for the success confirmation

A loading spinner shows while your registration is being submitted. Once confirmed, you’ll see a success screen with your registration details.

Next Best Action

After registering, most blood donors:

• Check your email/SMS for the donation drive details (date, time, location)
• Prepare for donation day by staying hydrated and eating well the night before
• Arrive 10 minutes early on the day with your ID proof

Troubleshooting

“Please fill all the required fields”: You’ve left Full Name, Mobile Number, or Blood Group blank. Go back, complete these three fields (marked with red *), and tap Confirm Registration again.

“Enter a valid phone number”: Your phone number doesn’t match the selected country’s format. For India (+91), enter exactly 10 digits. Verify your country code selector shows the correct country.

“Blood group is required”: You haven’t selected a blood type. Tap the Blood Group dropdown and choose your type. Don’t know it? Get tested at any blood bank or hospital before registering.

Registration fails after tapping Confirm: Check your internet connection and try again. If the error persists, contact the event organizer using the number they provided.

Can’t see the registration screen: The organizer may not have activated blood donation registration yet, or your event access link has expired. Ask the organizer to resend the registration link.
