Community Hierarchy
Section titled “Community Hierarchy”The Community Hierarchy screen displays an interactive tree view of your community’s organisational structure. See how chapters, wings, cells, and sub-groups are nested under the parent community, complete with member counts and expand/collapse controls.
How to Get There
Section titled “How to Get There”Home > Communities > [Your Community] > Dashboard > Hierarchy
- Open the Community Dashboard for your community.
- Tap the Hierarchy or Organisation action.
- The hierarchy tree loads showing the full community structure.
Understanding the Tree
Section titled “Understanding the Tree”Root Node
Section titled “Root Node”The top of the tree shows the parent community — your main organisation. It displays:
- Community name (e.g., “Rajasthan Retired Officers’ Welfare Association”)
- Description (e.g., “Empowering the retired community through connection & support”)
- Total member count across all sub-communities
Branch Nodes
Section titled “Branch Nodes”Below the root, you see regional chapters and functional wings. Each node shows:

Leaf Nodes
Section titled “Leaf Nodes”The innermost nodes represent the most granular groups. They have no children to expand.

Section titled “Interacting with the Tree”Expand / Collapse
Section titled “Expand / Collapse”Tap any node with children to expand or collapse it:
- Expanded nodes show their children indented below
- Collapsed nodes show an arrow indicating hidden children
- The root node starts expanded by default
Animated Pulse
Section titled “Animated Pulse”A subtle pulsing animation on nodes draws attention to the hierarchy structure, making it visually engaging even for large trees.
Loading Child Nodes
Section titled “Loading Child Nodes”For very large communities, child nodes may load on demand:
- Tap a node to expand it
- If children are not yet loaded, a loading indicator appears briefly
- Children populate once the data arrives from the server
Visual Design
Section titled “Visual Design”The hierarchy uses a card-based tree layout with:
- Connecting lines between parent and child nodes
- Profile images for communities that have logos
- Glassmorphic cards with gradient backgrounds
- Responsive scaling that adapts to screen size

Section titled “Related Articles”Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The hierarchy tree is empty or shows only the root node. No sub-communities have been created yet. If you are an admin and the community settings allow sub-communities, create chapters or wings from the dashboard.
Child nodes are not loading when I tap to expand. Check your internet connection. Child nodes load from the server when expanded. If the issue persists, pull down to refresh the entire hierarchy.
The tree looks cramped on my phone screen. The hierarchy adapts to screen width, but very deep trees (4+ levels) may require horizontal scrolling on narrow screens. Try rotating your phone to landscape mode for a wider view.
Member counts do not add up. A member can belong to the parent community without being in any sub-community, or can belong to multiple sub-communities. The parent count includes all members, not just the sum of child counts.
