Delete Guest

When someone drops off your guest list, you can remove them from your event in a few taps. This is for event organizers managing their own guest lists.

How to get there: Dashboard > Events > your event > Guest List > the guest’s name > Delete

  1. Open your event from the dashboard.
  2. Tap Guest List to see everyone invited.
  3. Tap the guest you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Check the name shown in the confirmation message. It includes the guest’s full name and salutation, so you can be sure you have the right person.
  6. Tap Delete to remove them, or tap Cancel to keep them on the list.

A short loading spinner appears while the guest is removed. You return to your guest list automatically when it finishes.

Tapping Cancel closes the confirmation and takes you straight back. Nothing changes on your guest list, and the guest keeps any invitations or RSVP status already recorded.

If you tapped Delete by accident on the guest’s page, this is your safety net. Use it freely.

Deleting is right for duplicates, test entries, and people added to the wrong event.

It is usually the wrong choice for a guest who simply declined. Marking them as Not Attending keeps your records intact, which matters when you are reconciling ₹ per plate costs with your caterer after the event. It also means you can invite them again next Diwali without retyping their +91 number.

“The guest is still on my list” - The removal did not go through, usually because of a weak connection. Pull down to refresh your guest list, then try again on stable data or Wi-Fi.

“The spinner keeps going” - Close the screen and reopen your guest list to check whether the guest was removed. If they are still there, retry the deletion.

“I deleted the wrong person” - Deletion is permanent, so add them again as a new guest. You will need their name and contact number, and any RSVP status will start fresh.

“The confirmation shows a blank or partial name” - The guest record is missing a first or last name. Cancel, edit the guest to fill in their details, then delete if you still need to.

“I cannot find the Delete option” - You need organizer access to the event. If you were added as a helper with view-only permissions, ask the main organizer to remove the guest.
