Velora Home Screen - Communities, Events, and Tickets
Section titled “Velora Home Screen - Communities, Events, and Tickets”The Velora home screen is organized into three tabs that give you access to the core areas of the app: Communities for group interactions, Events for discovering and browsing what is happening around you, and Tickets for managing your purchased passes and RSVPs.
How to Get There
Section titled “How to Get There”The home screen is the first screen you see after signing in (or as a guest user). It opens to the Events tab by default.
Bottom Tab Bar
Section titled “Bottom Tab Bar”The bottom navigation bar has three tabs with animated icons:

Ticket Badge
Section titled “Ticket Badge”The Tickets tab shows a red badge with your ticket count when you have active tickets. The badge displays the number (up to 99+).
Switching Tabs
Section titled “Switching Tabs”- Tap any tab at the bottom to switch views.
- The URL updates to reflect the current tab.
- Tab content is preserved when switching — scrolling position is maintained.
- Smooth animations provide visual feedback during transitions.
Communities Tab
Section titled “Communities Tab”Browse available communities and manage your memberships. Features include:
- List of public communities you can browse and join.
- Community previews with descriptions.
- Direct navigation to community dashboards for members.
- Tap the Communities tab.
- Browse the list of available communities.
- Tap a community to view its details or join.
Events Tab
Section titled “Events Tab”The default and most-used tab. Shows the Discover Events screen with search, filters, and location-based event discovery.
- The Events tab loads by default when you open the app.
- Browse event cards, use search, or apply filters.
- Tap any event card to view details and book tickets.

Tickets Tab
Section titled “Tickets Tab”View and manage all your event tickets, RSVPs, and passes.
- Tap the Tickets tab.
- View your active tickets and past bookings.
- Tap a ticket to view the QR code and event details.
Automatic Flows on Load
Section titled “Automatic Flows on Load”When the home screen loads, several background processes run automatically:
Location Permission
Section titled “Location Permission”On the first session load, the app requests location permission to enable location-based event discovery. This happens only once per session — switching tabs does not re-trigger the prompt.
Policy Check
Section titled “Policy Check”The app checks if there are platform policies (Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy) that you need to review. If unreviewed policies exist, you are navigated to the policy review page.
Pending Community Navigation
Section titled “Pending Community Navigation”If you signed in from a community preview or join flow, the app automatically navigates you to the appropriate community dashboard based on your membership role.
Deep Linking
Section titled “Deep Linking”Each tab supports deep linking through the URL:
- Opening
/eventstakes you to the Events tab. - Opening
/public-communitiestakes you to the Communities tab. - Opening
/ticketstakes you to the Tickets tab.
This means you can bookmark or share specific tab views.
What to Do Next
Section titled “What to Do Next”| Your situation | Recommended action |

| First time user | Browse the Events tab to discover what is happening |
| Want to join a group | Switch to the Communities tab |
| Already booked tickets | Check the Tickets tab for your passes |
| Want to organize events | Tap your Profile button and go to Organizer Dashboard |
| Received a community invite | Go to Communities and find the group |

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Location permission prompt appears every time
Section titled “Location permission prompt appears every time”The prompt should only appear once per session. If it keeps appearing, check your device’s app permissions settings and ensure location is set to “Allow while using” or “Always allow.”
Tickets tab shows no tickets
Section titled “Tickets tab shows no tickets”If you are not signed in, the ticket count shows 0. Sign in to see your purchased tickets and RSVPs.
Tab content resets when switching
Section titled “Tab content resets when switching”The app uses a keep-alive mechanism to preserve tab state. If content resets, it may be due to a memory-constrained device. This is uncommon on modern devices.
Policy page appears unexpectedly
Section titled “Policy page appears unexpectedly”This happens when the platform has updated its terms and you have not yet reviewed them. Accept the policies to proceed. You can read each policy document before accepting.
Bottom navigation bar is not visible
Section titled “Bottom navigation bar is not visible”Ensure you are on the home screen (not inside an event detail or sub-page). The bottom bar only appears on the main tabbed view.
