Explore a community’s own branded site inside the app to read about the group, browse its events, view photo albums, and apply to join.

Before you start

Section titled “Before you start”
  • Role required: none. Anyone can open a community site and browse it as a guest.
  • Signing in is not needed to read pages or view photos, but it helps if you want to follow up on an event or submit a membership application, since your details carry over.
  • You need a working connection. Cover photos, leader portraits, and gallery images load from the web, so a weak signal shows placeholder tiles instead.

Step by step

  1. Land on the site’s home page. You arrive at a branded welcome screen showing the community’s name, its district, and its tagline, along with headline numbers such as years of service and projects completed. Scroll down for highlights, the next few upcoming events, a preview of recent photo albums, and quick links to every other section. This page is your map for everything below.

  2. Read the About page to understand the group. It covers what the community does, when it was founded, its vision and mission, a numbered list of its objectives, and a personal message from the current president. Start here if you are deciding whether an event or the group itself is a good fit for you.

  3. Meet the people behind it on the Leaders page. You see a card for each office holder. Tap any card to open a detail panel with that person’s role, background, and contact details where they have been shared.

  4. Browse events by when they happen. The Events page splits into Upcoming, Ongoing, and Past. Switch between them to plan ahead or catch up on what you missed. If a tab shows “No Events,” nothing is scheduled in that state yet.

  5. Open an event for the full picture. The event page gives you the date, start time, venue, a description, and a session by session schedule where the organizers published one. Past events often include a strip of photos from the day. Use Open Map to get directions in your maps app, or Share to copy the event details so you can send them to a friend. All Events takes you back to the list.

  6. Browse the gallery. Albums are grouped into cards you can narrow with the Year and Type filters. Setting both to “All” shows everything.

  7. Open an album and view photos full screen. Each album shows its title, the year, an event tag where one applies, and a photo count. Tap any photo to open the full screen viewer and swipe through the rest of the album.

  8. Check the Media Kit if you need the community’s assets. It lists the official logos alongside a table of every image source used on the site, with licensing notes for each. Useful if you are writing about the group or promoting one of its events.

  9. Apply for membership. The Membership page explains the benefits of joining, the eligibility criteria, and the available membership categories, with one marked Most Popular. Read the “How to Apply” steps, then tap Apply Now to open the application form and submit your details.

Troubleshooting

The site looks different from the rest of the app. That is intended. Each community site carries its own colours, logos, and typography so it feels like that group’s own space. Navigation still works the same way, and you can leave the site at any time to return to the main app.

A page or action is unavailable to me. Communities control what guests can see on their own sites. Public pages such as About, Events, Gallery, and Membership are open to everyone. If a section does not appear for you, the community has not published it or has limited it to its own members.

I cannot see member-only content. Some albums, documents, and event details are reserved for people who have joined the community. Submit a membership application from the Membership page, and the content unlocks once an organizer approves you. Joining the community inside the app is separate from formal membership in the organisation, so you may be asked to complete both.

An event page says the event was not found. The link is out of date or the event was removed. Go back to All Events and pick it from the list.

Photos show a broken image icon. The image did not load. Refresh the page, and check your connection if it keeps happening.
