Ticket Scan and Verification

When someone scans a Velora ticket QR code using their phone camera (outside the Velora app), this landing page opens and shows the basic ticket information along with its verification status.

Scan a ticket QR code with your phone camera

  1. A guest or venue staff member points their phone camera at a printed or digital ticket QR code.
  2. The phone detects the URL embedded in the QR code (e.g., velora.events/ts/DIWALI2026?d=...).
  3. Tapping the URL opens the Ticket Scan Landing page.

If the QR code contains valid ticket data, you see:

FieldDescription
Status”Pending Verification”: the ticket has been decoded but not yet validated against the backend
Ticket IDA truncated version of the unique ticket identifier (first 8 and last 8 characters)
Event CodeThe event’s short code (e.g., “DIWALI2026”)
FormatThe QR token format (e.g., compact, standard)
Max EntriesHow many times this ticket allows entry (usually 1)

A hint message at the top explains: “Open this event in the Velora app to scan and validate tickets with your scanner device.”

ErrorWhat it means
”No ticket data found in the link”The QR code URL did not contain a token parameter
”This ticket link contains invalid data”The token could not be decoded - the QR code may be damaged or tampered with

In both error cases, a Go to Home button lets you navigate to the Velora home page.

The decoded ticket information is displayed in a clean card format:

The QR code scan opens a blank page. Ensure you have an internet connection. The landing page needs to load from the Velora servers. If the page is blank, the URL may be malformed - try scanning the QR code again.

I see “No ticket data found in the link.” The QR code URL did not include the encrypted ticket token. This can happen if the QR code was partially printed or cropped. Ask the guest to show the complete ticket (digital or printed).

The page shows “Invalid data” but the ticket should be valid. The QR code may have been damaged, wrinkled, or partially obscured. Try scanning in better lighting. If the issue persists, use the phone number search in Ticket Recovery instead.

I want to use this for event check-in but it says “Pending Verification.” This landing page does not perform server-side validation or mark tickets as used. For actual event check-in, use the Velora app’s dedicated QR scanner feature which connects to the backend and records entries.
