Group Info
Group Info: Manage Your Group Chat
Section titled “Group Info: Manage Your Group Chat”Group Info is where you see everything about a group chat: its photo, name, shared files, and who is in it. If you are a group admin, it is also where you add people, hand out admin rights, and remove members.
Change the Group Photo and Name
Section titled “Change the Group Photo and Name”How to get there: Connect > open your group chat > tap the group name at the top > Group Info
- Tap the group photo at the top of the screen.
- Allow access to your photos if you are asked.
- Select a picture from your gallery and wait for it to finish uploading.
- Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner to rename the group.
- Enter the new name and tap Save.

Find Shared Photos, Links and Files
Section titled “Find Shared Photos, Links and Files”How to get there: Connect > open your group chat > Group Info > Media, links and docs
- Tap Media, links and docs.
- Browse the photos, links, and documents shared in the group.
- Tap any item to open it.
See Who Is in the Group
Section titled “See Who Is in the Group”Members are listed under the MEMBERS heading, along with the total count. Each row shows the person’s photo, an Admin label if they are an admin, and either Online or when they were last seen.
Add or Remove Members (Admins)
Section titled “Add or Remove Members (Admins)”How to get there: Connect > open your group chat > Group Info > MEMBERS
- Tap Add beside the MEMBERS heading.
- Search for the person you want to invite.
- Select their name to add them to the group.
- To manage someone already in the group, tap the three dots on their row.
- Choose Make group admin, Dismiss as admin, or Remove.
Leave or Delete the Group
Section titled “Leave or Delete the Group”- Scroll to the bottom of Group Info.
- Tap Leave Group to exit the group yourself, then confirm.
- Admins can tap Delete Group to remove it for everyone, then confirm.

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“Failed to upload photo” - The image could not be sent. Check your connection and try a smaller photo from your gallery.
“Could not remove member” - You are not an admin of this group, or your admin rights were removed. Ask a current admin to make the change.
“Could not make admin” or “Could not dismiss admin” - Only admins can change roles, and the change is checked on our side. Confirm you still have the Admin label on your own row.
“Group not found” - The group was deleted, or you were removed from it. Go back to Connect and refresh your chat list.
A member shows the wrong online status - Presence updates as people come and go. Close and reopen Group Info to refresh it.
No three-dot menu on a member’s row - You either are not an admin, or you are looking at your own row. To exit yourself, use Leave Group.
