Velora Events Splash
Welcome to Velora Events
Section titled “Welcome to Velora Events”Velora Events is loading your personalized event experience. This splash screen appears briefly when you open the app while we set up your session, check for updates, and prepare your event data.
What’s Happening Behind the Scenes
Section titled “What’s Happening Behind the Scenes”When you launch Velora Events, this screen:
- Animates your logo to create a smooth, modern experience
- Checks if you’re signed in - but never blocks you from browsing as a guest
- Looks for app updates - and alerts you if a critical update is available
- Handles invitation links: if you tapped a link to view an event invitation, we route you directly there
- Loads your offline data - so you can view your events even without internet
The entire process takes about 2–3 seconds. You’ll see a loading bar at the bottom to confirm everything is working.
Understanding the Loading Process
Section titled “Understanding the Loading Process”How to get there: Launch the Velora Events app from your home screen.
The splash screen appears automatically every time you open the app. You don’t need to do anything - just wait for the animation and text to appear.
What Each Visual Element Means
Section titled “What Each Visual Element Means”-
The animated blue circle with an event icon: Shows the app is initializing. It pulses and grows slightly to grab your attention in a friendly way.
-
“Discover Events” text: Confirms the app is ready. This text fades in as the logo scales.
-
Loading bar at the bottom: Indicates progress. Once it fills, you’ll move to your next screen (either home, an invitation, or an update dialog).
Handling App Update Notifications
Section titled “Handling App Update Notifications”Velora periodically checks if a new version is available. Depending on the update type, you’ll see different messages.
Mandatory Updates
Section titled “Mandatory Updates”If you see a dialog titled “Update Required”, a critical security or feature update is available. These are rare but important.
- Tap Update Now to open your app store and install the latest version
- You cannot dismiss this dialog - Velora requires the update for safety or compliance reasons
Optional Updates
Section titled “Optional Updates”If you see a lighter notification with “New Version Available”, an improvement or new feature is ready.
- Tap Update to go to your app store
- Tap Remind Later to skip it now - you’ll see the reminder again in a few days
- Tap Not Now to continue using your current version
Coming from an Invitation Link
Section titled “Coming from an Invitation Link”If you tapped a link to view an event invitation (like from a wedding WhatsApp group or email), Velora detects this automatically.
- The splash screen appears briefly, then you’re taken directly to the event invitation or event pass screen
- No extra steps needed - just wait for the animation
Signing In vs. Browsing as a Guest
Section titled “Signing In vs. Browsing as a Guest”The splash screen never blocks you from using the app while checking your sign-in status.
- If you’re signed in: Your event, guest list, and saved preferences load in the background
- If you’re not signed in: You can still browse events, view invitations, and RSVP as a guest
- If you go offline: Velora shows your previously loaded events and data
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Splash screen shows but never progresses to the next screen
Your app may be stuck initializing. Force close Velora (swipe it away from recent apps) and reopen it. If this persists, check your internet connection or restart your phone.
“Update Required” dialog appears every time I open the app
Your app store may not have completed the update. Go to your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store), find Velora Events, and tap Update again. If it’s already updated, uninstall and reinstall the app.
I tapped an invitation link but it’s not showing after the splash screen
The link may be expired or incorrect. Ask the event organizer to resend the invitation link. Alternatively, search for the event by name in Velora’s home screen.
The loading bar appears frozen
A slow internet connection can delay initialization. Wait up to 10 seconds. If it still doesn’t progress, close the app, wait 10 seconds, and reopen it.
I’m signed in but my events aren’t loading
Your offline data may be outdated. Sign out and sign back in to refresh. Go to Settings > Account > Sign Out, then tap Sign In and enter your credentials.

- If you’re signed in: You’ll see your Home screen with upcoming events
- If you’re a guest: You’ll see the home screen with featured events and an option to sign in
- If you tapped an invitation link: You’ll jump to the event invitation or pass screen
