Tabbed Home

Your home dashboard is the central hub where you explore communities, discover events, and manage your tickets all in one place. Whether you’re looking to join a community, find exciting events, or access your purchased tickets, everything starts here.

How to get there: Tap Communities at the bottom of your screen.

This tab shows all the communities available on Velora - from college alumni groups to wedding planning communities to professional networks. Here’s how to explore:

  1. Scroll through the list of communities to see what’s available in your area.
  2. Tap any community card to view more details, see upcoming events, or request to join.
  3. Check the community description to understand what the group is about before joining.

How to get there: Tap Events at the bottom of your screen.

This is where you’ll find all public events happening near you - from Diwali celebrations to wedding exhibitions to college fests. You can browse, filter, and register for events here.

  1. Scroll to see featured and nearby events.
  2. Tap an event card to view full details, including date, time, location, and registration information.
  3. Register or buy tickets directly from the event details page.

How to get there: Tap Tickets at the bottom of your screen.

The Tickets tab shows all your purchased event tickets in one place. You’ll see a red badge with a number showing how many active tickets you have.

  1. View your ticket list to see all events you’ve registered for or purchased tickets to.
  2. Tap any ticket to see details like entry time, seat information, or QR code for check-in.
  3. Download or screenshot your ticket to share with fellow attendees or for easy access at the venue.

Understanding Your Location & Country Settings

Section titled “Understanding Your Location & Country Settings”

When you first open Velora, you may see a location permission request. Here’s why and what happens:

  1. We ask for your location to show you communities and events nearest to you.
  2. You can choose “Allow” or “Don’t Allow”: either way, the app works, but you may see fewer locally relevant results.
  3. We detect your country automatically to show you the right payment methods, phone formats, and local events.

On your first visit, Velora may show you event policies - important guidelines about ticket cancellation, refunds, and event conduct.

  1. Read through the policies (they typically cover refund windows and cancellation terms).
  2. Tap “I Agree” to accept and continue using the platform.
  3. You can view these anytime by going to Help > Policies.

Once you join a community, you’ll have access to:

  • Community dashboard with member-only events and updates
  • Discussion boards to connect with other members
  • Event registrations exclusive to community members
  • Notifications about upcoming community activities

Your role in the community (member, organizer, or co-organizer) determines what you can do. Organizers can create events; members can register for them.

“I’m not seeing any events in my area”: Make sure location access is enabled and you’ve set your country correctly in settings. You can also search for events by name or city using the search function.

“Why is my ticket count showing but I can’t see the tickets?”: Try scrolling down on the Tickets tab, or refresh the app by pulling down on your screen. If the issue persists, log out and back in.

“I keep seeing the policy agreement screen”: This should appear only once. If it keeps reappearing, check your internet connection and make sure the page fully loaded before tapping “I Agree.”

“The Communities tab is empty”: Communities may not be available in your selected region yet. Try searching for a community by name, or check back later as new communities are added.

“My location permission was denied - can I still use the app?”: Yes, completely! You’ll just see events from a broader region rather than specifically near you. You can enable it anytime in your phone settings.
