O T P Verification

Velora uses one-time passwords (OTP) to keep your account secure. This screen appears after you enter your phone number during sign-up or login - you’ll receive a 6-digit code on WhatsApp that you need to enter here to confirm you own the number. If WhatsApp cannot reach you, Velora falls back to SMS on the same number.

How to get there: Sign up or log in > Enter phone number > OTP Verification Screen

  1. Open WhatsApp and look for the message from Velora containing a 6-digit code. If it has not arrived, check your SMS inbox as well.
  2. Tap the first box in the code field on your screen.
  3. Enter each digit one at a time - the cursor moves to the next box automatically.
  4. After you enter all 6 digits, the app verifies your code instantly.

If verification succeeds, you’ll see a green success message and move into your Velora account. If it fails, the boxes will shake and show an error message - just clear them and try again.

If you don’t receive the code or it expires, you can request a new one.

How to get there: OTP Verification Screen > Resend Code button

  1. Tap the Resend Code button below the input boxes.
  2. A new 6-digit code is sent to your phone - you’ll see a “New code sent” confirmation.
  3. Enter the new code in the boxes above.

“Invalid code”: You entered a code that doesn’t match what was sent. Check the SMS again for the correct 6 digits and re-enter them carefully. Each code expires after 10 minutes.

“Code expired”: You took too long to enter it. Tap Resend Code to get a fresh one and try again within 10 minutes.

“I never received the SMS”: First, check your spam folder. Then verify your phone number is correct (look at the masked number on screen). If it’s wrong, go back and restart sign-up with the correct number. For persistent issues, check with your carrier - some prepaid plans block transactional messages.

Resend button is greyed out: You need to wait for the cooldown timer to reach zero. This is normal and prevents spam.

Screen keeps shaking after I enter a code: This means the code was invalid. Clear the boxes (they’ll empty automatically) and re-enter the code from your SMS.
