View Event Details

When you tap on an event in your feed or search results, the Event Detail screen opens with everything you need to know - from the schedule and venue location to organizer info and FAQs. This is your one-stop view for all event information before you decide to RSVP or buy tickets.

What You’ll See

The screen shows a beautiful hero image at the top, followed by event basics (date, time, location), a full description, agenda, venue map, organizer details, and a sticky action button at the bottom to RSVP or purchase tickets.

View Event Basics

How to get there: Open any event from your feed or search results

When you open an event, the top of the screen displays:

• Event cover image with a parallax scroll effect
• Event name, date, time, and location in a floating card
• Back button to return to the previous screen

1. Scroll down to see the event name appear in the app bar as you scroll past the cover image.
2. Observe the back button (top left) changes color based on the background - white over the image, black once you scroll down.

Design Detail

The app bar animates as you scroll - it stays transparent over the hero image, then gains a background color once you’ve scrolled 200 pixels. This keeps navigation clear without blocking the beautiful event cover.

Read About the Event

How to get there: Scroll down on the event detail screen

The About section gives you the full event description, formatted and easy to read.

1. Scroll down past the floating event info card.
2. Tap “Read more” if the description is truncated to expand the full text.
3. Continue scrolling to see all sections below.

Long Descriptions

If the organizer wrote a lengthy description, the app shows the first 4 lines by default. Tap to expand and read the complete details.

Check the Agenda (Schedule)

How to get there: Scroll down to the “Agenda” section

The Agenda section shows all scheduled activities, sessions, or performances at your event, with times and descriptions.

1. Scroll horizontally through the agenda cards to preview upcoming activities.
2. Each card displays the time, title, description, and an icon representing the activity type (e.g., 🎵 for music, 🍽️ for dining).
3. Tap View All (the arrow button at the end) to see the complete timeline in a dedicated view.

Quick Preview

If there’s no agenda yet, you’ll see a prompt to “Tap to view or add agenda” - this is especially common for events still being planned.

Find the Venue Location

How to get there: Scroll down to the “Venue Location” section

The Venue Location section displays an interactive map showing exactly where your event is happening.

1. Scroll down to find the map section (only appears if venue coordinates are available).
2. Pan and zoom the map to explore the venue area.
3. Tap View in Maps (bottom right of the map) to open the full address in your phone’s default maps app (Google Maps or Apple Maps).

Before You Go

Use this map to check nearby parking, public transport access, or landmarks. Opening in your phone’s maps app also lets you get turn-by-turn directions.

Read FAQs

How to get there: Scroll down to the “FAQs” section

The FAQs section answers common questions about the event - parking, dress code, refund policy, dietary restrictions, etc.

1. Scroll down to the accordion-style FAQ list.
2. Tap any question to expand and read the answer.
3. Tap again to collapse and move to the next question.

Common FAQ Topics

Wedding FAQs might cover gift etiquette, dietary options, and accommodation. Corporate events often include COVID policy, parking, and registration details.

Learn About the Organizer

How to get there: Scroll down to the “Organizer” section

The Organizer card shows who’s hosting the event - their name, logo, and a brief description.

1. Scroll down to find the organizer profile card.
2. Tap the card to see more details (coming soon in future updates).

Verify the Organizer

Check the organizer’s name and logo to ensure you’re attending a legitimate event. Look for verification badges if available.

See Event Sponsors

How to get there: Scroll down to the “Sponsors” section (if applicable)

The Sponsors section displays logos of companies supporting the event.

1. Scroll down past the organizer card to find sponsor logos.
2. Tap any sponsor logo to visit their website (if linked).

RSVP or Buy Tickets

How to get there: Bottom of the event detail screen (always visible)

The sticky action bar at the bottom lets you RSVP or purchase tickets without scrolling back to the top.

1. Scroll to the bottom of the event details.
2. Tap the main button labeled RSVP Now (for free/RSVP-only events) or Buy Tickets (for paid events).
3. If tickets have prices, you’ll see the starting price (e.g., “₹299”) displayed on the button.
4. Follow the checkout or RSVP flow to complete your registration.

Next Best Action

After you RSVP or buy tickets:

• Check your confirmation: You’ll receive an email or SMS with your ticket/confirmation details.
• Add to calendar: Many events let you add the date to your phone’s calendar for a reminder.
• Share with friends: Use the app’s share feature to invite others to the same event.

Pricing

Paid events show the minimum ticket price. Full pricing details appear in the checkout screen, including any taxes or booking fees.
