Community Profile

See your community’s complete profile, check its status, and leave if needed. This screen is your hub for understanding your community’s details and making changes to visibility or membership status.

How to get there: Communities > Tap on a community card

  1. Scroll through the profile card at the top to see your community’s name, location, and description
  2. Check the Community Interests section to see what topics or categories your community focuses on
  3. Review the Community Info section for details like:
    • Status (Active or Inactive)
    • Visibility (Public or Private)
    • Website link (if available)
    • Payment methods (if enabled for events)

Edit Your Community Profile (Admin/Owner Only)

How to get there: View Community Details > Tap Edit Profile

  1. Tap the Edit Profile button in the top-right corner of the community card
  2. Make your changes to name, description, logo, cover image, or interests
  3. Tap Save when done
  4. The profile refreshes automatically — you’re back to viewing your updated community

Toggle Community Status (Admin/Owner Only)

How to get there: View Community Details > Community Info section

  1. Locate the Status row in the Community Info card
  2. Tap the toggle switch next to “Active” or “Inactive”
  3. Confirm the change when prompted
  4. A green confirmation message appears — your status is updated immediately

How to get there: View Community Details > Scroll to Danger Zone section

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the profile and find the red “Danger Zone” section
  2. Tap Leave Community
  3. Read the confirmation message carefully — this action removes you from the community
  4. Tap Leave to confirm
  5. A green “Success” message appears, and you’re returned to your communities list

How to get there: View Community Details > Tap the link icon in the community card

  1. Tap the link/share icon (top-right, next to Edit Profile)
  2. Your community link is copied to clipboard
  3. Paste it in messages, emails, or social media to invite people

How to get there: View Community Details > Scroll to Location Card

  1. Find the Location card with a pin icon
  2. See your community’s city, state, and headquarters address
  3. This helps members know where in-person meetups might happen

“Failed to load community” — Your internet connection may be unstable. Tap Retry to reload the profile. If the issue persists, close and reopen the app.

“You don’t have permission to edit” — Only admins and owners can edit community profiles. Ask a community admin to make changes, or request admin status.

“Error when leaving community” — This usually means a temporary connection issue. Check your internet and try again. If you keep seeing this, contact support.

“The Edit Profile button isn’t showing” — You don’t have admin or owner permissions for this community. Only community admins can edit the profile.
