Community Basic Info
Setting Up Your Community’s Basic Information
Section titled “Setting Up Your Community’s Basic Information”Create your community by filling in essential details like its name, description, and a visual identity. This is Step 3 of 4 in the community creation process - you’re almost there!
Add a Community Image
Section titled “Add a Community Image”Give your community a face. A good image makes it instantly recognizable in search results and member feeds.
How to get there: Community Creation > Basic Info
- Tap the image upload box labeled Upload Community Image
- Select a photo from your device (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or HEIC formats work)
- Wait for the image to upload - you’ll see a blue loading message
- Once successful, a green checkmark confirms the upload
If you need to change the image, tap the X button in the top-right corner of the uploaded image and select a new one.
Enter Your Community Name
Section titled “Enter Your Community Name”Give your community a clear, memorable name that tells people what it’s about.
- Tap the Community Name field
- Type your community’s name (up to 30 characters)
- You’ll see a character counter showing how many letters you’ve used
Example names:
- “Bangalore Hiking Crew”
- “Wedding Planning 2025”
- “Tech Founders Network”
- “Diwali Celebration Planning”
Add a Description (Optional)
Section titled “Add a Description (Optional)”Help people understand your community’s purpose, who it’s for, and what members can expect.
- Tap the Description field
- Type details about your community (there’s no character limit)
- Example: “A space for couples planning weddings in Bangalore. Share vendors, budgets, ideas, and timelines. Open to all religions and styles.”
Form Fields Reference

Review & Continue
Section titled “Review & Continue”Once you’ve filled in the Community Name (the only required field), the Next button at the bottom turns purple and becomes active.

- Tap Next to proceed to community settings (Step 4 of 4)
What to Do Next

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“Community name is required”: You’ve left the Community Name field empty. Tap the field and type at least one character. The field must have text for the Next button to work.
“Community name must be 30 characters or less”: You’ve typed more than 30 characters. Delete extra text until the counter shows 30 or fewer.
“Failed to upload image”: Your internet connection dropped during upload, or the file is too large (keep images under 10 MB). Check your connection and try again. Tap Retry in the error message to re-upload.
Image won’t load after I select it: The file format may not be supported. Use JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or HEIC. If the problem persists, try a different image file.
The back arrow closes the form: Tapping the back arrow in the top-left corner takes you back to the previous step. Your data is saved, so you can return and continue anytime.
